League of Legends (LoL) has hosted several events in 2024 to reward esports teams for their efforts. These esports teams have participated in international tournaments like the Mid-Season Invitational 2024 and LCS 2024 Spring to win against the toughest competitors.

The 5v5 strategy game lets esports players choose from a wide range of champions to gain an advantage during battles. Each of the champions can cast various spells to deal damage and disable enemy units to earn gold throughout the match.

Esports teams in LoL spend a ton of time playing with different champions to figure out the best tactics for any tournament. League of Legends provides a variety of items and upgrades to help esports teams get fast kills and destroy enemy turrets without taking a significant amount of damage. Global competitions can take up to an hour to decide the winners of LoL matches and a few days to announce the results.

Gen.G Esports is one of the biggest competitive teams in LoL. Established in 2017, Gen.G Esports has trained dozens of LoL players to become a top team in global rankings. Recently, Gen.G Esports won $50,000 by placing first in the Mid-Season Invitational 2024.

Organized by Riot Games, the Mid-Season Invitational 2024 (MSI 2024) had a prize pool of $250,000. Gen.G Esports beat over 10 teams in the MSI 2024 to become champions of the tournament. Kiin, Canyon, Chovy, Lehends, and Peyz are the members of the Gen.G Esports team that delivered their best during the MSI 2024. Bilibili Gaming

Bilibili Gaming is a Chinese esports team. They won the Demacia Cups in 2 consecutive years in 2022 and 2023 to get recognized in esports by their peers. Bin, XUN, knight, Elk, ON, and LvMao are the active members of Bilibili Gaming. BigWei, Duan, and Xiasu are the coaches who have turned Bilibili Gaming into a global phenomenon in less than a decade.

LPL Spring 2024 was a major win for Bilibili Gaming. The esports team gathered 90 points in the LPL Spring 2024 to place first in the competition. Bilibili Gaming walked away with a grand prize of $276,250 in the LPL Spring 2024. Elk had a successful tournament and won 4 MVPs in the Playoff stage. He was also the MVP of the finals of the esports event.

Demacia 2023 gave Bilibili Gaming a huge win by announcing them as the winners of the competition. Held in Shanghai, China, the Demacia 2023 had a prize pool of $70,000. It was the second consecutive win for Bilibili Gaming in the Demacia Cup. They were able to defeat LoL esports teams such as, JD Gaming, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Rare Atom, and Top Esports. Knight from Bilibili Gaming was the MVP of the finals. His ally, ON, was awarded 3 MVP titles in the 9 matches that ON played for his team.

Bilibili Gaming was the runner-up at the MSI 2024. They placed second in the tournament and won $40,000. The top laner, Bin, from Bilibili Gaming has made a total of 3 appearances in the MSI series. Bilibili Gaming proved to be better than T1 and G2 Esports in the competition. LoL champions like K’Sante, Varus, Taliyah were played in several matches. Bilibili Gaming chose K’Sante 8 times in the MSI 2024 and Taliyah 4 times during their winning streak.

T1

T1 has made over $7 million from their esports adventures. The roster of T1 consists of Zeus, Oner, Faker, Gumayusi, and Keria. KkOma is the head coach of T1 and has driven the esports team to perform well in multiple events. T1 began participating in LoL tournaments in 2014.

World Championship 2023 provided a massive win for T1, giving them $445,000 for securing the first place. Esports teams like Weibo Gaming, Bilibili Gaming, JD Gaming, and Gen.G Esports were among the 22 teams that took part in the World Championship 2023. Zeus was named the MVP of the finals for his farming skills in the top lane. Streams of the World Championship 2023 were viewed by 6.4 million people worldwide.

The Korean esports team won the first place in LCK Spring 2022. The offline event was held at the LoL Park in Seoul and had a prize pool of $300,000. T1 won over $163,000 for their victories in the LCK Spring 2022 by winning more than 18 matches in the Group stage and 6 matches in the Playoffs of the tournament.
